Remains Relocation
The Culture of Remains Relocation
Bone collection is also known as the “Remains Relocation”. It is the act of relocating the remains of ancestors several years after burial. Upon the selection of a suitable date, the exhumation of the grave is done. The relocation master will then collect and clean the bones before drying it under the sun. These bones will be placed in an urn and relocated to the new burial ground. In recent years, most people have chosen to place the urn in a columbarium to minimize land usage.
The procedure of conducting this ceremony differs due to different cultural practices, religion and origin of the deceased. Although the procedure seems simple, it is important that an experienced Fengshui master and Relocation master carry out this ceremony. This is to ensure that the ceremony is done properly and in accordance to the customs of the deceased cultural practices. Do not hesitate to contact our bereavement care specialists if you require the services of remains relocation.
